The HAL Voice Portal enables all HAL telephony features including:

Telephone answering/voice mailbox features
Caller ID
Call intercept and blocking
Talk to HAL from any house phone*
Talk to HAL from any remote phone

*You can talk to HAL via the phone you plug into the HAL Voice Portal phone jack. To enable all house phones to communicate with HAL, the HAL Voice Portal must be configured so phone signals entering the home must pass through the HAL Voice Portal before continuing on to the rest of the home phone lines.
