The Emitter Extension Kit splices into the 6 emitter ribbon cable to extend all 6 emitters with just two wires or category 5 cable with RJ45 Connectors. You may use over 100 feet of twin lead or category five wire to place the emitter set in a remote location from the Main Box, Eye and confirmation LED.
The Extension Box is also a unique IDC Clamping tool that clamps an Insulation Displacement Connector , (IDC), on the end of the Emitter ribbon cable. The Box has a pair of screw terminals and an RJ45 Jack that uses the 2 center leads for connection to all 12 emitter wires.

This Kit is required for the Hot Link Pro 6 Unit Expansion Kit (CEXK) that adds 6 more emitters to the Hot Link Pro.
Instructions, simplified:
1. Peel back Confirmation LED wire to Main Box.
2. Mark polarity of ribbon cable with supplied tape.
3. Cut ribbon the 12 emitter cable wires, NOT the Confirmation LED wires.
4. Flip Emitter side ribbon cable over.
5. Insert ribbon cable from Main Box into splice box.
6. Apply IDC Clamp Cap and Lid in open position.
7. Close lid to clamp IDC Connector.
8. Use RJ45 or Screw terminals to attach user supplied extension cable.
