This is a safety item that should be used on all external mount antennas. Protects against electrical shorts or a nearby lighting strike. The antenna ground provides a lower path to a safe discharge point, also "draining off" static electricity, leaving a cleaner signal.

Mounting a Wi-Ex zBoost YX510 cell phone signal booster antenna on your home's exterior? Minimize the likelihood of dangerous lightening strikes with this grounding kit. The included hardware lets you properly ground your antenna and drain off the static electricity it naturally accumulates. It also helps your antenna relay a cleaner cell phone signal to the booster.
The kit comes with a dual ground clamp, so you can also use it with the YX029 dual-band outdoor antenna.
Details:
- The YX012 is compatible with the zBoost YX500-Cell-800MHz or zBoost YX500-PCS-1900MHz systems when using the YX025 Yagi Direction outdoor antenna or YX023-PCS 12dBi outdoor directional antenna. It can also be used with the Wi-EX YX510 dual band signal booster along with the YX029 Dual Band outdoor directional antenna.
- Grounding Wire: The grounding kit comes supplied with a 20' 10-gauge ground wire. The wire has no connectors on either end and the insulation will need to stripped back to access the wire on both ends. The wire is insulated in a white casing.
- Coax Cable: The grounding kit also comes supplied with a 15' 18-gauge RG6 satellite rated coax cable in a white insulated casing. The cable has threaded F-connector pins on each end.
