How It Works:
When a child or pet unknowingly gains access to an unsupervised pool area, it only takes a
moment for tragedy to strike. In many cases, a child or pet falling into the water is an almost
silent event. Using seismic technology, PoolSonix is specifically designed to detect the near silent wave activity associated with accidental pool entry. In the event of a child or pet (minimum 20 lbs)
accidentally falling into the pool, the PoolSonix unit will detect the intrusion and sound
a 110 db alarm at the pool and an 85db alarm in the house. Immediate adult response is required upon activation of the alarm.
When you're ready to swim, just choose the "Swim Mode" on the remote keypad or the keyfob. When people have finished swimming and leave the pool, PoolSonix will automatically enter self-calibration mode for 8 to 14 minutes and then turn ON. If someone re-enters the pool during the self-calibration period, PoolSonix will remain in self-calibration mode until they leave the pool. PoolSonix will then automatically restart the 8 to 14 minute self-calibration process and then turn ON.
Comprehensive pool safety starts with active adult supervision that is reinforced with supplemental layers of protection. Pool fencing, pool covers, pool alarms, gate and door alarms are all critical layers that help to enhance the safety and security of your swimming pool.
